Rublev Colours Lead White #2 ground in filtered, pale walnut oil is an opaque white that is soft and slightly ropey. Lead White #2 is a brighter white than our first lead white, because of the paler walnut oil.
Rublev Colours lead white is made with pale walnut oil and basic lead carbonate (made according to modern processes) without stearates or fillers to alter the characteristics of the pigment. As a result you get higher pigment volume concentration (PVC) than other brands of lead white (flake white)—as high as 45%. This means most brands of flake white do not weigh nearly as much as Rublev Colours 50 ml tube. Yet, Rublev Colours Lead White is not stiff and mixes well with all other oil colors.
Lead white is the most common white found on the old masters' palette. Lead pigments have been made artificially since Antiquity, although health concerns of lead poisoning has greatly diminished its role in paint today.

Very easy.
I like the size and feel of this book to paint in. The pages do curl, but I don't mind.

The selection of materials and brands, the quality and the spirit of the team when you get to visit the store.
Great stuff!
My order was processed and shipped quickly. Will ship here again.
Easy shopping experience. Delivery was prompt.
This white does exactly what I wanted. It raises the value of my colors but doesn't cause them to look chalkie like the Titanium does. I'll save the Titanium and use it for strong highlights.
excellent service!
Absolutely great! Just the product I was looking for, thank you.
Thank you!!
Excellent paint and the knowledgable people at soho have customer service down to a T. Really happy with my purchase. Thank you!
